Jobbeschreibung

Goodman Masson is partnering with a new financial markets infrastructure venture under formation in Oman. Backed by prominent institutional investors, the business is building a greenfield post-trade platform from the ground up and is now hiring during the build phase.

This is a rare opportunity to join a business at the start of its journey, helping establish the data management, validation and governance processes that underpin a critical piece of financial market infrastructure.

The Role

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join the Operations Control function, supporting the management and governance of reference data and market data across the business.

You will play a key role in ensuring that critical standing data, including instruments, participants, accounts, settlement banks and calendars, is accurate, complete and maintained through controlled and auditable processes.

You will also be responsible for verifying published market data, including post-trade transparency data and published rates, while helping ensure that external market data is appropriately sourced, licensed and validated.

Working closely with Operations Control and data owners across the business, you will help establish consistent data quality standards, clear ownership and robust governance arrangements to support the platform's operational integrity.

What You'll Do
  • Maintain and validate reference data covering instruments, participants, accounts, calendars, settlement banks and other critical standing data.
  • Process and document reference data amendments through approved change control procedures, ensuring all changes are properly authorised and evidenced.
  • Verify published market data, including post-trade transparency data and published rates, before release.
  • Validate external market data consumed by the business, ensuring appropriate sourcing, licensing and quality checks are in place.
  • Support the development and implementation of data governance frameworks, including clear ownership, defined quality standards and controlled change processes.
  • Identify data duplication and inconsistencies across systems, helping improve data quality and establish a reliable source of truth.
  • Investigate data quality issues, discrepancies and unauthorised changes, escalating exceptions to the Head of Operations Control where required.
  • Work with internal data owners and operational teams to resolve data issues and maintain consistent standards across the business.
  • Liaise with external market data providers on sourcing, licensing and data quality queries as required.
  • Maintain accurate records and supporting evidence to ensure data changes and validation activities are transparent, traceable and auditable.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, such as Information Systems, Finance, Mathematics or Statistics.
  • 0-2 years relevant experience in data analysis, reference data management or operations within financial markets or a similar regulated environment.
  • Understanding of reference data, market data and the importance of data accuracy in financial services.
  • Familiarity with data governance principles, including data ownership, quality standards, controlled change and data consistency.
  • Understanding of post-trade transparency and the verification of published market data.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, database query tools and reporting applications used to validate, reconcile and analyse data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Clear written communication skills and disciplined record-keeping abilities.
  • A strong commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, accountability and adherence to established procedures.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
Desirable Experience

The following would be particularly valuable:

  • Experience working within a financial market infrastructure, such as a central securities depository, central counterparty, exchange or settlement system.
  • Familiarity with financial instruments, market participants, settlement processes and post-trade operations.
  • Experience with market data providers, data licensing arrangements and data validation controls.
  • A recognised qualification in data management, data analytics or financial markets.
  • Knowledge of Arabic, in addition to English.
  • Experience helping establish data governance processes or improve data quality within a growing or newly established organisation.
