Job summary

Goodman Masson Oman seeks an Application Support Specialist with strong Linux expertise to maintain the post-trade platform in production. You will cover settlement, registry, corporate actions, reconciliation and messaging, ensuring resilience and timely issue resolution.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years in application or production support, banking/markets preferred.
• Strong Linux/Unix hands-on experience with certification preferred.
• Experience supporting critical production apps in financial services.
• Good understanding of post-trade lifecycle (settlement, clearing, recon).
• Experience with SWIFT/ISO messaging environments and enterprise schedulers.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd and 3rd line application support across modules.
• Monitor production processes and resolve exceptions proactively.
• Own incident, problem and root-cause management during major incidents.
• Support messaging interfaces including SWIFT, ISO 15022 and ISO 20022.
• Investigate and resolve application and interface failures.
• Own batch processing environment and enterprise scheduling.
• Develop runbooks, procedures and escalation processes.
• Contribute to run-phase support model and recruitment of the team.
