Job summary

Goodman Masson Oman is partnering with a new financial markets infrastructure venture in Oman. The role leads reconciliations within the Operations Control function, building robust controls and supervising a Reconciliation Analyst.

The ideal candidate is 3–5 years in reconciliations with cash reconciliation expertise, in a regulated environment. Based in Muscat, the role supports the platform as it moves from build to live operations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' relevant experience in reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of cash reconciliations.
• Experience in financial services or regulated environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily, monthly and periodic reconciliation processes.
• Oversee cash reconciliations and identify discrepancies.
• Investigate, manage and resolve reconciliation breaks.
• Monitor outstanding exceptions and aged breaks.
• Supervise and develop the Reconciliation Analyst.
• Improve reconciliation procedures and controls.
• Prepare reconciliation status reports and ageing analyses.
• Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit.
• Liaise with banks, custodians, counterparties and external auditors.
• Support transition from build phase to live operations.
