Job summary

PeopleStrong is looking for an experienced quality control professional in Oman to ensure high standards of construction quality. The successful candidate will prepare Project Quality Plans and conduct site inspections while coordinating with various stakeholders.

Applicants should possess a BTech degree and have between 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in construction or civil engineering. A thorough understanding of ISO standards and inspection processes is essential.

• Proven ability to prepare and implement Project Quality Plans and Inspection Test Plans.
• Strong understanding of ISO standards and quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Prepare and implement Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
• Ensure all site activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Conduct material inspection and approval (cement, steel, aggregates, concrete, etc.).
• Review and verify Material Submittals, Method Statements, and Shop Drawings.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and site engineers for inspections.
• Raise and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Conduct site quality inspections and prepare inspection reports.
• Ensure proper execution of structural works (footings, columns, beams, slabs, etc.).
• Check reinforcement as per approved drawings before concreting.
• Witness field tests (slump test, cube test, soil compaction test, etc.).
• Maintain quality records, checklists, and documentation.
• Monitor concrete pouring activities and ensure curing procedures are followed.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Identify quality issues and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
• Conduct internal audits and site quality meetings.
• Ensure calibration of equipment and testing instruments.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and workmanship quality.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards (if applicable).
• Assist in handing over completed works with proper documentation.
