Aloft Hotels in Muscat seeks an IT professional to provide first- and second-level support for property systems, performing repairs, installations, and maintenance within established guidelines.

The role supports budget planning, adherence to Marriott policies, and end-user support, spanning desktops, servers, and network assets.

The candidate will work on-site, collaborating with IT teams to ensure reliable technology services for guests and associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2–4 years IT experience.
• 2-year degree in IT or related major; 2 years of experience in the field.
• System-related professional certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists IT leadership with CAPEX and department budgets for IT projects.
• Ensures compliance with Marriott policies and ISMs; implements solutions to resolve discrepancies.
• Places equipment orders for PCs and networking gear; processes invoices.
• Conducts inventories of applications and hardware; prepares reports.
• Ensures technology assets are secured and vendor contracts are followed.
• Writes proposals, analyses, and cost models; provides customer service to property staff.
• Responds to inquiries from customers/vendors/peer group; provides status reports.
• Assists in disaster recovery and business continuity; provides technical guidance.
• Escalates issues to appropriate IT resources; supports guest and associate internet access.
• Images desktops, installs software, patches, maps drives; moves/adds/changes PCs.

Education

High school diploma or GED; 2-4 years IT experience

2-year degree in IT or related field; 2 years experience

System certifications preferred
