Job summary

Crowne Plaza Muscat OCEC, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, seeks an IT Specialist to oversee day-to-day IT operations, ensuring hotel technology runs securely and efficiently to support guest experiences.

You will manage IT infrastructure, support colleagues, monitor networks, and ensure compliance with IT standards, while contributing to cybersecurity and data protection initiatives. English fluency is required; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of IT support, IT coordination, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, networking (LAN/WAN), and troubleshooting.
• Experience managing iOS and Android devices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Previous hotel experience is an advantage.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written); Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot hotel IT infrastructure including computers, printers, tablets, smartphones, and network devices.
• Install, configure, and upgrade hardware and software systems.
• Provide timely technical support to hotel colleagues and departments.
• Monitor network, server, email, and business application performance.
• Maintain IT asset inventories, software licenses, and system documentation.
• Perform regular backups and support data recovery processes.
• Support hotel systems including PMS, POS, Wi‑Fi, and guest-facing technologies.
• Ensure compliance with IHG IT standards, cybersecurity requirements, and data protection procedures.
