Job summary

Decision Management Consultants is recruiting for a Project Manager – Construction in Muscat, Oman. The role leads delivery of large-scale projects, coordinating site operations, subcontractors, and cost control to ensure on-time completion and client satisfaction.

You will manage planning, risk mitigation, and safety while maintaining quality across residential, commercial, and industrial works in a dynamic environment. Oman experience is preferred and a competitive salary is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 10–15 years of experience in the construction industry.
• 1–2 years of experience in a Project Manager role is preferred.
• Previous construction experience in Oman is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical progress in line with the approved baseline programme.
• Plan and sequence construction activities and mobilize resources in advance.
• Identify critical path risks early and propose mitigation measures to the Division Head.
• Ensure timely project completion, handover documentation, and as-built records.
• Control actual project costs within the approved budget baseline.
• Manage direct staff costs within the project staffing budget.
• Provide accurate cost-to-complete updates to the Project Controls team.
• Identify variations and changes on site and notify Project Controls within contractual time limits.
• Direct site operations, workforce deployment and daily work sequencing.
• Coordinate subcontractors and monitor their programme, quality, and safety performance.
• Maintain site security, housekeeping, and workforce welfare arrangements.
• Ensure all construction works meet quality standards and rectify non-conformances promptly.
• Implement safety controls established by the EHS team and support site assurance personnel.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients and consultants and act as escalation point for site matters.
• Ensure client satisfaction throughout project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Delivery & Programme Management

• Deliver physical progress in line with the approved baseline programme

• Identify variations and changes on site and notify Project Controls within the contractual time limits

Site Management & Subcontractor Performance

• Direct site operations, workforce deployment, and daily work sequencing
• Coordinate subcontractors and monitor their programme, quality, and safety performance
• Ensure material requisitions are raised on time to meet project requirements
• Maintain site security, housekeeping, and workforce welfare arrangements

Quality, Safety & Client Relationship Management

• Ensure all construction works meet the required quality standards and rectify non-conformances promptly
• Implement safety controls established by the EHS team and support the independence of site assurance personnel
• Maintain positive relationships with clients and consultants and act as the first point of escalation for site-related matters
• Ensure client satisfaction throughout project delivery

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in the construction industry
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a Project Manager role preferred
• Previous construction experience in Oman preferred
• Strong knowledge of construction project delivery, site management, and subcontractor coordination
