Job summary

DMC is seeking a Project Manager – Construction for a leading client in Muscat, Oman. You will oversee delivery of complex civil and mechanical works, coordinating site teams and subcontractors to meet programme milestones.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, 10–15 years in construction, and 1–2 years in a PM role. Oman experience is preferred, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 10–15 years of construction industry experience.
• 1–2 years in a Project Manager role preferred.
• Oman experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of project delivery, site management and subcontractor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical progress in line with the baseline programme.
• Plan and sequence construction activities and mobilize resources in advance.
• Identify critical path risks early and propose mitigation measures.
• Ensure timely project completion, handover documentation and as-built records.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Programme Management

• Deliver physical progress in line with the approved baselineprogramme
• Plan and sequence construction activities and mobilizeresources in advance
• Identify critical path risks early and propose mitigationmeasures to the Division Head
• Ensure timely project completion, handover documentation,and as-built records

Project Cost & Margin Management

• Control actual project costs within the approved budgetbaseline
• Manage direct staff costs within the approved projectstaffing budget
• Provide accurate cost-to-complete updates to the ProjectControls team, including early reporting of potential cost overruns
• Identify variations and changes on site and notify ProjectControls within the contractual time limits

Site Management & Subcontractor Performance

• Direct site operations, workforce deployment, and daily worksequencing
• Coordinate subcontractors and monitor their programme,quality, and safety performance
• Ensure material requisitions are raised on time to meetproject requirements
• Maintain site security, housekeeping, and workforce welfarearrangements

Quality, Safety & Client Relationship Management

• Ensure all construction works meet the required qualitystandards and rectify non-conformances promptly
• Implement safety controls established by the EHS team andsupport the independence of site assurance personnel
• Maintain positive relationships with clients and consultantsand act as the first point of escalation for site-related matters
• Ensure client satisfaction throughout project delivery

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or MechanicalEngineering
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in the construction industry
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a Project Manager role preferred
• Previous construction experience in Oman preferred
• Strong knowledge of construction project delivery, sitemanagement, and subcontractor coordination
