Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, Human Resources, or hospitality development.
  • Minimum 2-3 years in a Training Manager, Learning & Development Manager, or equivalent leadership role.
  • Luxury or ultra-luxury hospitality experience is required; wellness, spa, or health resort exposure is advantageous.
  • Previous hotel or resort pre-opening experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience designing and facilitating induction, service excellence, leadership, and operational training programs.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, coaching, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, training needs analysis, instructional design, and training evaluation methods.
  • Strong project management, organization, reporting, and analytical capability in a fast-paced pre-opening environment.
  • Excellent command of English is required; Arabic language capability is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the resort’s Learning & Development strategy in line with business priorities, CLP culture, and ultra-luxury service standards.
  • Conduct training needs analysis and translate identified needs into structured annual and departmental learning plans.
  • Establish clear learning pathways that support colleague capability, performance, career development, and succession planning.
  • Manage the annual and monthly training calendar and coordinate learning activities across all resort departments.
  • Partner with Heads of Departments to develop practical departmental training plans, skills checklists, and refresher programs.
  • Monitor training quality and effectiveness through assessments, observations, feedback, and operational performance indicators.
  • Lead service excellence training focused on personalization, anticipation of guest needs, discretion, emotional intelligence, and attention to detail.
  • Translate brand standards and guest experience expectations into practical colleague behaviors and service routines.
  • Support quality assurance initiatives by developing targeted coaching and refresher training based on audits, feedback, operational observations.
  • Embed CLP’s wellness and longevity philosophy within colleague learning and the overall service culture.
  • Coordinate with medical, wellness, spa, nutrition, movement, and hospitality teams to support a seamless and consistent guest journey.
  • Ensure non-clinical colleagues understand the purpose of the wellness journey and how their roles contribute to the overall guest experience.
  • Reinforce confidentiality, privacy, professional boundaries, and discretion expected in an ultra-luxury wellness environment.
  • Work with subject matter experts to coordinate specialized learning where technical or clinical expertise is required.
  • Prepare and manage the Learning & Development budget, ensuring effective use of training resources without compromising quality.
  • Manage training vendors, external facilitators, learning materials, and related agreements in coordination with HR and Finance.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and value of key learning initiatives and recommend improvements based on business needs.
  • Reinforce CLP values, culture, expected behaviors, and service philosophy through induction, workshops, communications, and learning activities.
  • Support colleague engagement, recognition, wellbeing, and culture-building initiatives in partnership with HR.
  • Promote an inclusive, respectful, multicultural, and high-performance learning environment across the resort.
  • Support Saudization objectives through structured development, retention, career progression, and capability-building initiatives for Saudi colleagues.
  • Identify Saudi high-potential colleagues and support internal mobility and succession pathways.
  • Coordinate relevant development partnerships and programs that strengthen the pipeline of Saudi hospitality and wellness talent.
  • Design and facilitate development programs for supervisors, managers, and Heads of Departments.
  • Coach leaders on feedback, performance management, colleague engagement, effective delegation, and people development.
  • Support talent reviews and succession planning by identifying development priorities and appropriate learning interventions.
  • Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with company standards, local requirements, and mandatory training obligations.
  • Track key learning KPIs including induction completion, mandatory training, departmental readiness, participation, and assessment results.
  • Prepare regular Learning & Development dashboards and reports, highlighting progress, risks, gaps, and corrective actions.
