Job summary

PPOAR in Muscat is seeking a Pastry Chef to create delicious and visually appealing desserts and pastries. You will work with our team of chefs to develop new recipes while ensuring consistency and quality in all baked goods. You will lead a team of pastry assistants, manage time to meet production deadlines, and maintain inventory.

A minimum of 2 years' experience is required; a culinary degree is preferred but not essential. Experience with international cuisine is an asset.

As a Pastry Chef at our renowned bakery in Muscat, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts and pastries for our customers. You will work closely with our team of chefs to come up with new and innovative recipes while also ensuring consistency and quality in all of our baked goods. Your creativity and passion for pastry making will be key in attracting and retaining customers.

Your main responsibilities will include preparing, baking, and decorating a variety of pastries, cakes, breads, and other sweet treats. You will also be responsible for maintaining inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed. As a Pastry Chef, you must have excellent time-management skills in order to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.

In addition to your pastry skills, you must also have strong leadership abilities. You will oversee a team of pastry assistants and ensure that they are trained properly to assist you in the kitchen. Your ability to effectively communicate with your team is essential in maintaining a smooth operation.

To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a professional kitchen setting. A degree or diploma in culinary arts or pastry making is preferred but not required. You must have an eye for detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
