Job summary

Dhofar Global is seeking an Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations in Oman. The role involves maintaining financial records, ensuring VAT compliance, and assisting in month-end and year-end closings.

You will support the Senior Accountant and management with financial reporting and analysis while upholding company policies and regulatory requirements. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of relevant experience, a bachelor's degree in accounting, and hands-on knowledge of GL, AP, AR,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in Oman.
• Hands-on with GL, AP and AR processes.
• Experience in VAT documentation and VAT return preparation (Oman VAT knowledge preferred).
• Experience with month-end and year-end closing.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions including receipts and payments.
• Maintain general ledger, AP and AR records accurately.
• Prepare reconciliations: bank, intercompany, supplier and customer.
• Assist in monthly closing and preparation of financial reports.
• Support VAT documentation and return preparation.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
• Coordinate with departments to resolve accounting issues.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
