Job summary

Fms International in Oman seeks a Senior Accountant to support the Finance Manager in daily financial operations. You will handle journal entries, month-end close, and reconciliations, while ensuring accurate financial reporting and VAT compliance.

The role requires 5–8 years of accounting experience, ERP/system expertise, and the ability to supervise junior staff. Location is Oman, with a focus on accuracy and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of VAT regulations (Oman).
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems and strong documentation.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting and month-end closing, journal entries, GL reconciliations.
• Assist in financial reporting and variance analysis for management.
• Prepare VAT calculations and tax compliance documentation.
• Coordinate treasury tasks, vendor payments, and cash flow tracking.
• Prepare audit schedules and support audit readiness.
• Supervise junior accountants and ensure deadlines are met.
• Ensure business continuity and payroll processing in Finance Manager's absence.
