Job summary

Oman Investment Authority is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent to plan, coordinate and supervise all mechanical maintenance activities for safe, reliable operation of plant equipment. The role leads maintenance teams, manages programs and supports shutdowns and projects to ensure high asset availability.

The incumbent will build the mechanical maintenance team and processes from the ground up, drive reliability, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards while optimizing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Master's degree in mechanical engineering or related field is an advantage.
• Extensive experience in multi-discipline management (15+ years).
• Experience as maintenance superintendent (8+ years) in mining/processing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily mechanical maintenance activities.
• Plan and execute plant shutdowns, turnarounds and major overhauls.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve asset availability.
• Review maintenance work orders and schedules; manage budgets and resources.
• Lead, coach and develop maintenance teams and contractors.
• Ensure safety, regulatory and environmental standards are met.
