Job summary

Gender seeks an experienced Engineering Manager for its oil & gas refinery operations in Oman. You will manage the workshop, lead maintenance and asset reliability, supervise technicians, direct shutdowns, and optimize preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize uptime.

The role requires 12+ years in oil & gas maintenance and reliability, strong leadership, and experience with SAP PM/MM, CMMS, RCAs, and HSE compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical) or relevant field.
• CMRP or CRL certifications are preferred.
• 12+ years of relevant Oil & Gas refinery experience with leadership exposure.
• Deep understanding of mechanical equipment and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with RC/M RCA and HSE standards and practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance strategies (PM/CM) to maximize asset life and reliability.
• Plan and direct major refinery shutdowns, turnarounds, and plant outages with operations.
• Champion CMMS usage to track work orders, analyze downtime, and allocate labor.
• Oversee daily workshop operations and ensure machinery, calibration tools, and heavy equipment are safe and functional.
• Negotiate contracts with external contractors, equipment manufacturers, and service providers.
• Develop and control OPEX and CAPEX related to facility upgrades and equipment replacement.
