Job summary

Masarpetroleum in Muscat, Oman, seeks a Chief Mechanic responsible for maintenance, repairs and installation of all mechanical equipment including compressors, pumps and engines. The role covers oil and filter changes, lubrication, and coordination with other departments on repairs and operations.

The candidate will lead a mechanical team, oversee shop drawings, project issues, and contribute to standards and best practices while ensuring deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of experience in mechanical systems (HVAC & plumbing).
• Skilled in Revit and CAD/CAM; proficient with building codes and regulations.
• Able to prioritize workload and communicate proactively to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair prime movers and other engines.
• Maintain and repair two-stage and four-stage gas/air compressors, heat exchangers and air dryers.
• Replace regulators and all valves in air systems.
• Repair pneumatic pipe hoisting and handling equipment.
• Assist other departments in equipment maintenance, repair or operation.
• Work closely with other engineers, designers, and technicians to meet deadlines.
• Assist with project management on selected projects.
• Manage shop drawings and submittals.
• Manage project issues and resolutions.
• Provide feedback on standards and best practices.
• Lead, mentor and support mechanical team.
• Perform all engineering analysis required and develop quality design for projects.
