Adrak Engineering & Construction India Pvt.Ltd is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer for a full-time, on-site role in Muscat, Oman. You will design and coordinate mechanical building services, ensuring compliance with project specs and Oman regulations.

Responsibilities include HVAC, plumbing, firefighting system design, preparation of drawings and calculations, and close coordination with architectural, structural and electrical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical building services design.
• Experience in building construction / MEP projects is essential.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting and ventilation systems.
• Knowledge of Oman regulations and international standards is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Prepare HVAC, plumbing, firefighting and other mechanical building services designs.
• Prepare design calculations, equipment selections, schedules and specifications.
• Develop and review mechanical layouts, shop drawings and construction drawings.
• Modify HVAC ducting, chilled water and ventilation layouts as required.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural and electrical teams.
• Review drawings to identify clashes and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure designs comply with project specs and Oman regulations.
• Assist in material submittals, technical submittals and equipment schedules.
• Coordinate with site engineers, draftsmen and suppliers for design implementation.
• Attend technical meetings and provide engineering support to the project team.
• Review shop drawings and provide technical comments.
• Support site teams in resolving design-related queries and RFIs.
• Carry out site inspections to verify design requirements.

Mechanical Design Engineer Location : Muscat, Oman.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and technically proficient Mechanical Design Engineer to join our building construction team in Oman. The candidate will be responsible for the design, engineering, coordination, and preparation of mechanical building services drawings and documentation, ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop detailed HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical building services designs for residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare design calculations, equipment selections, schedules, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Develop and review mechanical layouts, shop drawings, schematic diagrams, and detailed construction drawings.
• Prepare and modify HVAC ducting, chilled water, ventilation, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting layouts as required.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and other MEP services.
• Review drawings and designs to identify clashes and resolve technical issues during the design and construction stages.
• Ensure designs comply with project specifications, authority requirements, international standards, and applicable Oman regulations.
• Review consultant drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents.
• Assist in preparing material submittals, technical submittals, method statements, and equipment schedules.
• Coordinate with site engineers, draftsmen, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure proper implementation of the design.
• Attend technical coordination meetings and provide engineering support to the project team.
• Review shop drawings and provide technical comments where required.
• Support site teams in resolving design-related technical queries and RFI/clarification requests.
• Carry out site inspections when required to verify design requirements and installation conditions.
• Ensure that all drawings and design documents are properly maintained and updated as per project revisions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical building services design.
• Experience in building construction / MEP projects is essential.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, ventilation, and other mechanical systems.
• Good knowledge of applicable international standards and MEP design practices.
• Knowledge of Oman building regulations and authority requirements will be an advantage.

Pay: RO300.000 - RO500.000 per month.
