Job summary

Masarpetroleum S.A.O.C. in Muscat, Oman seeks a Chief Mechanic responsible for maintenance, repairs and installation of mechanical equipment including compressors, pumps, motors and engines.

The role emphasizes proactive maintenance, project support, and leading a mechanical team to meet deadlines. Key responsibilities include repairing prime movers, gas compressors, air systems, and equipment, coordinating with engineers and technicians, and maintaining shop drawings and project issues resolve

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of experience in Mechanical Systems (HVAC & Plumbing).
• Requires leadership ability and project coordination.
• Knowledge of codes, standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair prime movers, engines and related machinery.
• Repair two/ four-stage gas/air compressors and related heat exchangers.
• Replace regulators and valves in air systems as needed.
• Assist other departments with maintenance, repair or operation.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers and technicians to meet deadlines.
• Lead and mentor the mechanical team; manage shop drawings and submittals.
• Support project management and resolve project issues.

ChiefMechanic responsible of the Maintenance, repairs and installation of all associatedmechanical equipment. This includes compressors, and other equipment. Changeoil and filters and lubricate all vehicles maintenance and repair, Pumps,Motors, Engines and other mechanical.

Requirements

Role and Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair prime movers and otherengines.


• Maintain and repair two stage and fourstage Gas/air compressor, heat exchangers and air dryers.


• Replace regulators and all valves in airsystem.


• Repair pneumatic pipe hoisting and handlingequipment.


• Assist other departments in equipmentmaintenance, repair or operation.


• Work closely with other engineers,designers, and technicians to meet deadlines.


• Assistant with project management on selectprojects.


• Manage shop drawings and submittals.


• Manage project issues and resolutions.


• Provide feedback on standards and bestpractices.


• Lead, mentor and support mechanical team.


• Perform all engineering analysis requiredand develop quality design for projects.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of experience in MechanicalSystems (HVAC & Plumbing).

Skills

• Skilled Revit and CADD user.


• Understanding of current building codes& regulations.


• Adept at prioritizing workload andproactively communicating in order to ensure deadlines are met.


• Ability to apply technical expertisequickly.


• Licensed Professional Engineer.


• Expert level understanding of MEP drawingsand specifications.
