Job summary

Green Umbrella Recruitment seeks a Electrical engineer specializing in A/C design for large central systems, based in Muscat, Oman. The role requires 7-8 years of experience and a strong background in electrical design and district cooling projects.

The candidate will review designs, oversee draftsmen, assist in bids, and support commissioning and on-site supervision across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction design, technical expertise/analysis and resolution of engineering problems within electrical discipline; develop district cooling services meeting client requirements and ROI goals.
• Review, analyze, and resolve design and field construction problems with supervision, client, and other contractors.
• Review design documents for constructability.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications, bill of materials; assist in site supervision, commissioning, etc.
• Oversee and provide work direction to Draftsman.
• Assist in issuing bids to suppliers and subcontractors and assist in bid analysis (technical).
• Provide engineering expertise/supervision on site, as required.
• Assist with commissioning and monitor actual operational data as required.
• Prepare connected electric load scheduler.
• Prepare substation designs (11KV to 415V).

Job Description

To provide construction design, technical expertise/analysis and/or resolution of engineering problems within specific electrical discipline, in order to develop state of the art district cooling services that meet client requirements and ensures proper return on investment to the shareholders

Reviews, analyses, and resolves design and field construction problems, discrepancies and inferences within the area of discipline with supervision, client, and other contractors as required

Provides review of design documents for constructability

Performs and prepares other engineering functions such as calculations, drawings, specifications, bill of materials, assists in site supervision, commissioning, etc
