Job description
Role Objective:
TheMaintenance Control Centre Engineer (MCC) is responsible for overseeing,coordinating, and supporting the technical operations of Salam Air’s fleet inreal-time. This role involves continuous monitoring of aircraft health,managing defects, and ensuring technical dispatch reliability to minimizeflight operation disruptions while upholding safety and regulatory compliance.
Duties andResponsibilities:
- Checkaircraft history to prepare and control maintenance programs on daily basisensuring timely completion of all maintenance activities.
- Plan,schedule, and coordinate aircraft maintenance activities, including bothscheduled and unscheduled tasks, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Monitorongoing maintenance tasks and provide support to resolve any issues that mayarise, ensuring compliance with the company's maintenance procedures andregulatory requirements.
- Collaboratewith Line Maintenance, Technical Services, OCC and other departments to ensuretimely resolution of maintenance issues and maintain operational readiness.
- Communicateeffectively with flight crews, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders toprovide updates on aircraft status and any maintenance-related concerns.
- Maintainand update maintenance records and reports to ensure compliance with safety andregulatory standards.
- Analysemaintenance trends and recommend improvements to optimize aircraft reliabilityand reduce downtime.
- Assist inthe development and implementation of maintenance schedules and tasks for allaircraft.
- Providetechnical support during AOG situations, ensuring swift recovery and minimaldisruption to operations.
- Monitordeferred defects for all aircraft daily and follow up on spare parts to ensurecorrective actions are initiated and properly planned.
- Coordinatewith the Technical Planning and Production Planning sections on the scheduled/unscheduled component requirements and work with the relevantdepartments to ensure timely procurement.
- Follow-upwith the Technical Materials section to check the turn-around time forcomponents and initiate the necessary provisioning of items.
- Coordinatewith the IOCC to obtain authorization for aircraft swapping, ensuring that noaircraft operations are delayed.
- Follow upand monitor unscheduled work arising from accidents, incidents, failures,malfunctioning or findings discovered upon inspection of aircraft or componentsused.
- Assess thenature and volume of work in detail to establish production forecasts, ensuringthe optimal arrangement of workload and the timely release of serviceableaircraft according to the schedule.
- Prepare theagenda for the weekly operational review meeting and follow up on the necessaryrequirements.
- Coordinatewith QA to secure a one-off authorization OOA for outstation technical handlingprovider that does not hold Salam Air authorization approval.
- Undertakeany other task related to aircraft maintenance as and when directed.
Requirements
- A minimumof 7 years of experience in the aviation industry as certifying staff, with atleast 3 years spent performing Maintenance Control Centre duties and functions,is preferred.
- Level IIItype course for the A320 Family with CFM LEAP-1A & CFM56
- Graduatedegree in Mechanical/Aeronautical/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent will bean added advantage.
