Job summary

Tanqeeb is looking for a cost and commercial manager in Muscat to lead budgeting, estimates, and cost plans. You will drive tendering, contract negotiations, and manage variations, while safeguarding cash flow and financial performance across projects.

You will advise teams on cost control, risk management, and value engineering, coordinating with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to deliver final accounts and payments.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and cost planning.
• Ability to monitor cash flow and financial performance of projects.
• Proven track record in commercial and contract risk management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and manage cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans.
• Lead tendering, bidding, and contract negotiation processes.
• Monitor project costs, cash flow, and financial performance.
• Manage variations, claims, and change orders.
• Prepare and certify interim valuations, final accounts, and payments.
• Advise project teams on cost control, value engineering, and risk management.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Review subcontractor quotations and manage subcontract packages.
• Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
• Support dispute resolution, claims defense, and negotiations.
• Provide regular cost reports to senior management and clients.
