Job summary

Meranti Green Steel is seeking an IT Manager to establish and lead the company's IT function in Oman. You will design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, applications, and digital solutions to support operations, project development, and future plant activities in Oman.

As the primary IT lead for MGSO Oman, you will work with corporate teams, external providers and stakeholders to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years IT experience with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Experience establishing and managing IT functions in industrial, manufacturing, energy, or large-scale projects.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and enterprise applications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the IT roadmap and technology strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Establish IT policies, procedures, standards, and governance frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and manage the annual IT budget and expenditure plans.
• Manage IT infrastructure, networks, cloud services, and data storage.
• Oversee cybersecurity controls, risk management, and incident response.
• Lead vendor selection, contracts, and performance management.
• Support project teams with technology requirements and future plant operations.
• Establish IT service delivery and performance metrics.
• Foster continuous improvement and drive digital transformation across MGSO Oman.
