Job summary

Meranti Green Steel in Oman seeks a seasoned Document Controller to lead the project-wide document control system for a large green DRI/HBI plant. You will ensure integrity, traceability and access to all engineering, procurement and construction documents across owner, EPCs, licensors and lenders.

You will establish workflows, maintain the master register and manage approvals, ensuring timely delivery for milestones and regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years' experience as a Document Controller on large heavy industrial capital projects (≥ USD 500 million).
• Experience operating an electronic document management system across multi-party environments (owner, EPC, licensor).
• Familiarity with document numbering and classification in oil, petrochemicals, steel or power projects.
• Open to Omani nationals only.

Responsibilities

• Establish, configure and operate the project’s electronic document management system for all discipline documentation.
• Define and enforce document numbering, revision control, and approval workflows across parties.
• Receive, log, distribute and track all incoming/outgoing project documents and transmittals.
• Maintain the master document register and ensure current revisions are used.
• Manage the document approval cycle with timely turnaround across disciplines.
• Prepare document packages for major milestones including FID and lender due diligence.
• Maintain archive in line with retention policy and lender requirements.
• Support engineers and Project Director with retrieval, reporting and audit trails.
• Establish handover procedures for as-built documentation.
