Job summary

Meranti Green Steel in Oman seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to establish and lead the local accounting function, ensuring IFRS compliance and robust internal controls. You’ll work closely with the Singapore-based regional finance team to support group reporting, audits, and financial initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years progressive accounting and finance experience.
• 3–5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Experience in start-up, greenfield projects, construction, manufacturing, industrial, energy, mining, or heavy industry environments preferred.
• Experience working within multinational organizations and regional reporting structures.
• Experience supporting external audits and Group consolidation processes.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the Oman accounting function from start-up through operational readiness.
• Develop policies, procedures and internal controls aligned with Group requirements and IFRS.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions and close processes.
• Manage general ledger, fixed assets, AP/AR, and cash management; oversee monthly/quarterly/annual closes.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support Group consolidation and reporting.
• Support regional finance initiatives and intercompany reconciliations.
• Drive treasury and cash flow management; build and mentor local finance team.
