Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Security Manager to lead and manage security operations at the steel manufacturing plant in Muscat, Oman. You will oversee physical security, access control, logistics security, emergency preparedness, and loss prevention across assets and products.

Responsibilities include developing security strategy, implementing loss prevention programs, coordinating with EHS, and managing both in-house and contracted security personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field.
• Professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, CFE or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive security management experience in steel manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Core competencies include risk assessment, investigations, crisis management, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve the plant's security strategy.
• Manage access control operations: gatehouses, weighbridges, checkpoints, and movement of people and vehicles.
• Ensure secure handling and transport of raw materials, scrap, and finished products.
• Oversee CCTV, access control, perimeter intrusion detection, alarms, and security technologies.
• Lead investigations into security incidents and prepare reports with corrective actions.
• Establish loss prevention programs via audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
• Develop and test emergency response, business continuity, and crisis management plans.
• Collaborate with EHS to align security with health, safety and risk standards.
• Manage contracts and performance of outsourced security providers.
• Lead security personnel and contract guards through training and performance management.
• Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies on security matters.
• Prepare periodic security reports, KPIs, risk assessments, and executive presentations.
• Ensure compliance with laws, company policies, and industrial security best practices.
• Promote security awareness and continuous improvement across the organization.
