Job summary

Baker Hughes in Muscat, Oman is seeking an Integrated Solutions Commercial Senior Advisor to drive winning bids and manage complex commercial processes within the oil & gas sector.

You will coordinate with regional leadership, I&S teams and product lines to build strong proposals, assess risks, draft plans, and lead negotiations with customers and vendors. A strong background in engineering/commercial disciplines and 12+ years of industry experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, commercial, or scientific discipline.
• 12+ years oil & gas operator or service company experience.
• Experience leading integrated commercial bids.
• 3+ years experience in integrated projects.
• Strong understanding of upstream business environment, including technical and logistical elements.
• Knowledge of well engineering, well construction, rigs, equipment packages, and technical solutions.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, influencing, analytical, decision-making, and planning skills.
• Experience working in a global matrix organization.
• Knowledge of business plans, project planning, project management methodology, and proposal/bid creation.

Responsibilities

• Lead all elements of I&S opportunities through the I&S process, ensuring stage and gate deliverables.
• Lead opportunity pursuit, align region leadership, commercial ops, I&S leadership, and product line teams to build a winning bid strategy.
• Ensure company processes and procedures, including OFSE sales principles, are followed and I&S tools are applied to every opportunity.
• Contribute to development and adherence of I&S processes to document and mitigate project risks.
• Draft initial project plan and components: risk, communications, sourcing, vendor management, early schedule, quality plan, RACI, organizational structure, and cost model.
• Ensure commercial models reflect ROI and profitability by collaborating with internal stakeholders.
• Provide leadership for negotiations with customers, contract parties, vendors, and others.
• Perform contract handover to project manager and I&S teams using SLA within COFA framework.
