Job summary

Ecojob in Khasab, Oman, is seeking a Head Chef to oversee all kitchen operations at our fine dining restaurant. You will create and execute menus, supervise staff, manage inventory and food costs, and ensure high standards of quality and presentation.

The ideal candidate has proven Head Chef or Executive Chef experience in fine dining, culinary degree or equivalent, strong leadership, and a passion for fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Salary: 1800 USD per month, negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a fine dining establishment.
• Culinary degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement menus that reflect the restaurant's concept and meet guest preferences.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, safety standards, and sanitation practices.
• Oversee food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply while minimizing waste.
• Manage food costs by creating efficient portion sizes and minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with management to develop new menu items or make changes to existing offerings.
• Ensure compliance with health code regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
