Job summary

Urban Nest Realty and Construction LLC in Oman seeks a General Manager to establish and govern a new company, reporting to the Board. You will lead day-to-day operations, set policies, and drive strategic direction for mining and crushing activities in Duqm SEZ.

The role requires 20+ years in mining/industrial management, strong leadership, and the ability to work with government bodies and international partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 20+ years in management of mining and crushing projects/companies.
• Sound knowledge of geology and exploration of Duqm region.
• Experience in strategic planning and green field project execution.
• Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage projects.
• Experience in formulating policy and developing and implementing new strategies.
• Ability to develop financial plans and manage resources.
• Sales and marketing of limestone and dolomite in international market.
• Sound knowledge of shipping and documentation for international markets.
• Experience working with SEZAD and Duqm port is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the senior staff assigned by the Board with a can-do leadership.
• Establish governance, policies, and day-to-day operations for the new company.
• Oversee mining and crushing operations in Duqm SEZ and ensure compliance.
• Lead project planning, execution, and tender/contract administration.
• Prepare budgets, manage OPEX/CAPEX, and report to the Board.
• Engage with ministries, banks, and stakeholders to support growth.
