Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an Executive Chef for a pre-opening luxury Nikki Beach Resort & Spa in Yiti Bay, Oman. You will lead culinary operations, craft distinctive menus across venues, and build a world-class brigade.

This role demands luxury resort experience, strong leadership, HACCP knowledge, and high-volume service excellence. You will drive food and labor cost control while collaborating with Resort Ops to delight guests.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Executive Chef within a luxury resort or internationally recognized five-star hotel.
• Pre-opening experience highly preferred.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage large multicultural kitchen brigades.
• Demonstrated expertise across multiple cuisines and high-volume luxury operations.
• Excellent knowledge of HACCP and food safety best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pre-opening planning and execution of all culinary operations.
• Develop menus and dining concepts for restaurants, bars, banquets, in-room dining, and specialty venues.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and inspire a world-class culinary team.
• Establish kitchen operating procedures, HACCP standards, and food safety compliance.
• Develop recipes, SOPs, and quality assurance programs.
• Manage food cost, labor cost, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting to achieve financial targets.
• Collaborate with Food & Beverage, Sales, Marketing, and Resort Operations to deliver memorable guest experiences.
• Build relationships with premium suppliers and source the finest seasonal and local ingredients where possible.
• Maintain exceptional culinary presentation, consistency, and service standards.
• Drive innovation while respecting the resort's brand positioning and guest expectations.
