Job summary

SMC International Placement seeks an experienced QC – E&I Supervisor for a Saudi Arabia project. You will lead quality control activities across Electrical and Instrumentation, ensuring work complies with drawings, specifications, and standards.

You will inspect installations, coordinate with inspectors and clients, and maintain documentation throughout testing and handover. The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering and hands-on supervision of E&I

Qualifications

• Electrical & Instrumentation Quality Control (E&I QA/QC).
• Electrical Installation Inspection and Testing.
• Instrumentation Installation, Calibration, and Loop Checking.
• Cable Laying, Glanding, Termination, and Earthing.
• Knowledge of Electrical and Instrumentation Drawings.
• Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Method Statements.
• Knowledge of IEC, NEC, and applicable project standards.
• Quality Documentation, NCRs, and Corrective Actions.
• Testing and Commissioning Documentation.
• Team Supervision and Client Coordination.
• Technical Reporting and Problem-Solving Skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) quality control activities at the project site.
• Ensure all E&I works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable standards.
• Inspect electrical installations, cable laying, cable termination, earthing, and lighting systems.
• Monitor instrumentation installation, calibration, loop checking, and functional testing.
• Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality procedures.
• Coordinate with QC inspectors, site engineers, contractors, and client representatives.
• Verify inspection reports, test certificates, and quality documentation.
• Identify non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Coordinate with clients and third-party inspectors for inspections and testing.
• Prepare daily inspection reports, quality records, and project handover documents.
• Ensure compliance with project quality requirements and site HSE procedures.
