Job summary

SMC International Placement in Saudi Arabia is seeking a QC Mechanical Supervisor to lead on-site quality control of mechanical works, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs and standards. You will supervise inspectors, review ITPs, and coordinate with project teams.

The role requires strong knowledge of ASME/API, piping, welding, and hydrotesting, plus documentation, NCR management and daily reporting. Saudi-based GCC oil and gas project experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical QC on oil & gas, petrochemical or industrial projects.
• Knowledge of ASME/API QA/QC standards and client procedures.
• Ability to review ITPs, Method Statements and QCs.
• Experience in NCR management and corrective actions.
• Proficient in quality documentation and inspection reporting.
• Strong coordination with inspectors, engineers, and client reps.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical quality control activities at the project site.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specs and quality standards.
• Inspect piping, welding, equipment installation, and mechanical systems.
• Review ITPs, method statements and QC procedures.
• Coordinate with QC inspectors, site engineers, contractors and client reps.
• Monitor welding activities, material inspections, fit-up and dimensional checks.
• Verify material certificates, inspection reports and quality documentation.
• Raise and follow up on NCRs and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, codes and industry standards.
• Prepare daily inspection reports, quality records and handover docs.
• Coordinate with clients and third-party inspectors during inspections and testing.
• Ensure adherence to site safety and project quality procedures.
