Job summary

SMC International Placement is seeking a QC Coating Supervisor in Saudi Arabia to oversee coating, painting, and surface preparation at project sites. You will ensure adherence to specifications and standards, inspect blasting and coating procedures, and monitor WFT/DFT, thickness, and environmental conditions.

The role requires Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with relevant coating inspection certifications as an advantage.

Qualifications

• Coating QA/QC-focused role with site supervision experience.
• Familiar with surface prep, abrasive blasting, and coating application.
• Knowledge of WFT/DFT and thickness measurements is essential.
• Experience with ITPs, method statements, NCRs, and CAPA processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise coating, painting, and surface prep at project sites.
• Ensure works meet specifications, standards, and project requirements.
• Inspect surface prep, blasting, and coating applications.
• Monitor environmental conditions and coating thickness throughout.
• Verify WFT and DFT measurements and material handling.
• Review ITPs, method statements, and coating procedures.
• Coordinate with inspectors, site engineers, contractors, and client reps.
• Identify defects and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Maintain inspection reports and quality documentation.
