Contract Executive Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Khasab on a contract basis. As the Contract Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our high-end restaurant. You will collaborate with the management team to create innovative menus that showcase local and international flavors, while maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute creative menu ideas that cater to diverse tastes and dietary restrictions
• Ensure consistency in food quality, portioning, and presentation throughout all dishes
• Manage inventory levels and food costs while maintaining profitability
• Hire, train, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and adherence to safety standards
• Monitor sanitation practices to ensure compliance with health regulations
• Collaborate with front of house staff to provide exceptional dining experiences for guests

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
• Solid understanding of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other departments
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the food industry

Preferred Qualifications:

• Culinary degree or certification from an accredited institution
• Experience working in the Middle East or familiarity with Middle Eastern cuisine
• Fluent in Arabic language is a plus
