Job summary

Amentum seeks an Avionics Technician for F-16 Block 50 aircraft to maintain, test, and modify avionics systems in Oman. The role involves diagnosing malfunctions, installing components, performing calibration, and software updates, with emphasis on safety and mission readiness.

Qualified candidates have several years of experience with F-16 avionics, are willing to train on additional aircraft, and will work in a highly structured maintenance environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years on F-16 Block 50+ or 8+ years supporting F-16 aircraft.
• AFSC 2A3X4, 2A354, or 2A374 Block 50 Integrated Avionics or equivalent.
• Willing to train on other aircraft maintenance tasks.
• High School Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, test, and modify NAV, Attack, Flight Controls, Radar, SMS, Comm, Nav and ECM systems.
• Operate avionics systems using aircraft controls to determine condition.
• Interpret equipment operating characteristics to isolate malfunctions in systems.
• Perform alignment, calibration and bore sight of avionics systems.
• Upload operational software into system components.
• Inspect, analyze and evaluate avionics systems.
• Perform OJT and supervise RAFO technicians.
