Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced aircraft maintenance technician to service and troubleshoot F‑16 Block 50 aircraft. The role involves comprehensive maintenance of engines, airframe components, and subsystems, including routine inspections and complex troubleshooting.

You will work within a dynamic team to ensure airworthiness and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include conducting phase inspections, coordinating with supervisors on technical issues, and maintaining thorough records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years' experience on like aircraft.
• High school graduate or GED with a certificate of completion.
• Experience in all aspects of intermediate level maintenance on F-16 Block 50 Aircraft.
• Experience in Phase Inspections and all aspects of scheduled maintenance.
• Experience in Inspection & troubleshooting of any systems failures.
• Experience providing OJT to technicians.
• Experience with landing gear overhaul, inspection and operational checks.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.

Responsibilities

• Servicing engines, engine components, and airframe components; perform routine troubleshooting, installation, repair and maintenance at organizational level.
• Conduct and supervise inspections (end-of-runway, postflight, preflight, thru-flight, phase); assist with combat turns and hot pit refuels.
• Provide for launch, recovery, and preflight/thru flight inspections; oversee ground handling, minor maintenance, servicing.
• Advise on problems with maintenance, procedures, and policies; use technical data to diagnose aircraft systems.
• Inspect and identify corrosion; review maintenance forms and records to ensure documentation; inventory equipment.
