Job summary

Canvendor is seeking an Applications Support Engineer in Muscat, Oman to provide first-line support for TCS BaNCS Insurance modules across Life, Medical, Motor and General lines. You will handle incidents, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

The role requires 3-5 years of hands-on experience in TCS BaNCS Insurance Application Support, strong analytical skills, and collaboration with business users, infrastructure teams, and vendors. Immediate joiner preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide L1 application support for TCS BaNCS Insurance users across modules.

• Execute SQL/PLSQL queries for data validation and issue resolution.
• Support UAT, releases, and post-deployment validations.
• Coordinate with vendors and infrastructure teams for resolutions.

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Application Support Engineer with strong experience in TCS BaNCS Insurance to provide first-level technical and functional support for core insurance applications. The role involves supporting users, resolving incidents, troubleshooting application issues, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across multiple insurance business lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L1 application support for TCS BaNCS users across Life, Medical, Motor, and General Insurance modules.
• Monitor incidents and service requests through ticketing tools and ensure SLA adherence.
• Troubleshoot functional and technical application issues and perform timely escalations.
• Execute SQL/PLSQL queries for data validation, analysis, and issue resolution.
• Generate and validate daily transaction, reconciliation, and exception reports.
• Support UAT testing, production releases, and post-deployment validations.
• Coordinate with business users, infrastructure teams, and vendors for issue resolution.
• Monitor application performance, logs, and alerts.
• Assist in user training and provide functional guidance to business teams.
• Maintain application documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.
