Qualifications

• Proven experience in youth work, community development, social work, or education.
• Strong understanding of adolescent psychology and youth development principles.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.
• A valid driver’s license is required for this role based in Queenstown.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage youth development programmes and activities.
• Engage directly with young people, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions on life skills, career guidance, leadership, and other topics.
• Build and maintain relationships with local schools, community centres, and youth-serving organisations.
• Monitor progress and impact of programmes, collecting data and preparing reports.
• Identify needs and challenges facing youth and develop interventions.
• Organise and coordinate youth events, camps, and outreach activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure programmes are relevant, effective, and sustainable.
• Manage programme resources and budgets.
• Promote a safe, inclusive environment for all participants.
