Job summary

BuildRight Construction AU is seeking a skilled Fitter & CNC Machine Operator to interpret drawings, set up and run CNC machinery, and complete fitting and fabrication tasks for installation readiness.

The ideal candidate will read engineering drawings, plan workshop work, and perform MIG and TIG welding with a high standard of accuracy and quality. Visa sponsorship may be available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience operating CNC machinery.
• Proficient in MIG and TIG welding.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering and fabrication drawings independently.
• Plan work requirements based on dimensions and tolerances.
• Operate CNC machinery and general fabrication equipment.
• Complete fitting, fabrication and assembly work to specification.
• Perform MIG and TIG welding as required.
• Check measurements, tolerances, and finished components.
• Prepare materials for installation teams.
• Coordinate workshop jobs and daily priorities.
• Ensure materials and fasteners are available for installation.
• Identify fabrication or drawing issues before work reaches site.
• Maintain workshop machinery, tools and equipment.
• Keep the workshop clean, organized and safe.
• Assist with site fitting and installation when required.

Youwillplayanimportantroleinkeepingworkshopjobsmovingefficientlyandmaintaininghighstandardsofaccuracy,qualityandreadinessforsiteteams.

Thesuccessfulcandidatewillhavetheconfidencetoworkindependently,solvepracticalfabricationissuesandmanagemultiplestagesofproduction.
