In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out the assembly, maintenance, and repair of pump systems and associated rotating equipment in a workshop environment. You will play a key hands-on role in ensuring all work meets strict standards of workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Stripping, inspecting, rebuilding, and assembling various types of pumps and rotating equipment
Conducting routine and emergency repairs on pump systems and components
Performing mechanical and hydraulic testing to ensure equipment meets performance specifications
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and job specifications
Responding to customer enquiries, preparing quotes, and providing technical support
Maintaining accurate service records, job documentation, and CRM entries
Ensuring workshop tools and equipment are properly maintained, calibrated, and safely stored
Adhering to all health and safety standards, participating in safety briefings, and maintaining a clean workplace
Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field
Proven hands-on experience with pump servicing, rotating equipment, or mechanical systems
Strong mechanical aptitude, technical proficiency, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to accurately read and interpret technical schematics and drawings
Strong customer service orientation with clear communication skills
Excellent time management, reliability, and attention to detail
A valid Forklift License and Confined Space training are preferred (but not compulsory)
