Job summary

Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children is seeking a Workplace Administrator to support the Clinical Services Manager and the new national Intensive Clinical Services team. Based in Auckland, the role is permanent, full-time, and fast-paced, offering varied project support and administrative duties.

You will coordinate travel, meetings, documents, onboarding for new kaimahi, and help with reporting, health and safety admin, and digital processes.

  • Proven experience providing administrative support.
  • Advanced digital skills across Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships across a range of stakeholders.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to work.
  • Strong initiative, adaptability and the ability to manage varied responsibilities.
  • Experience supporting projects, reporting or operational improvement activities.
  • A collaborative team-focused approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices particularly knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples’ culture.
  • Understanding of the public sector context and agencies involved in providing services for children and young people.

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our new Intensive Clinical Services team in a nationally focused support role that helps enable the delivery of high-quality clinical services. The role reports to the Clinical Services Manager and provides flexible administrative and project support across the new national team. Permanent, fulltime position available Role will be based in Auckland.

The Workplace Administrator plays a critical role in supporting the Clinical Services Manager to implement the new service, and then support the national team once established. The position is varied, fast-paced and offers the opportunity to flex both your project support and administrative skills.

  • Providing project and administration support across Intensive Clinical Services nationally
  • Coordinating travel, meetings, office supplies and other operational requirements
  • Preparing, formatting and maintaining documents, templates, contact databases.
  • Supporting health and safety administration, tracking and reporting
