Job summary

Indevin is seeking Laboratory Technicians to join the Hawke's Bay Vintage team for the 2027 season. You will support winery operations by carrying out laboratory analyses, including grape maturity work and fermentation sampling, in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring laboratory chemistry experience, a practical mindset, and the ability to work long shifts during peak vintage. A pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening will be required.

Qualifications

• Laboratory experience within chemistry (winery experience beneficial).
• A practical approach to tasks and problem solving.
• Thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines during vintage periods.
• Available to work shifts up to 12 hours, 6 days per week during peak vintage.
• Be prepared to undertake a pre-employment medical examination and drug and alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples and complete analysis in our laboratory.
• Grape maturity analysis.
• Sampling and testing ferments.
• Other analyses consistent with industry best practice.
