Job summary

Mt. Beautiful in Canterbury, Christchurch is seeking Vintage Cellar Hands and a Laboratory Technician for our premium winery. You will participate in all phases from fruit intake and sampling to vinification and barrel management in a small, energetic team.

The roles require at least 2 vintages experience, NZ work eligibility, physical fitness, and willingness to work long hours. Forklift skills are desirable and laboratory duties are essential for the lab position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 vintages experience.
• Must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
• You need to be practical, fit and prepared to work long hours.
• Forklift driving skills/license are very desirable.
• Laboratory experience and skills will be essential for the lab role.
• Must be a good team player and be prepared to share experience and ideas.
• Having your own vehicle is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Experience all facets of the vintage from fruit intake and sampling through to vinification of both red and white wines along with barrel management.
• Operate in a multi-national team of 10 people in cellar and laboratory.
• Work long hours in a practical, hands-on environment.
