Job summary

Vinarchy in Blenheim, Marlborough, New Zealand, is seeking Vintage Laboratory Technicians for the 2027 vintage. You will join a hands-on, fast-paced lab, collecting, preparing and analysing samples through the winemaking process using industry-standard equipment.

This fixed-term role runs up to 12 weeks with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week, often including weekends, and a competitive hourly pay between NZD 28 and 31 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Winemaking, chemistry or food related science.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain accuracy under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Collect, prepare and analyse samples throughout the winemaking process.
• Operate industry-standard analytical equipment in the laboratory.
• Ensure quality and consistency across testing stages.
• Transfer data accurately into wine programs.
• Support winemaking and production teams with timely results.
