Job summary

Whānau Āwhina Plunket in Wellington is seeking a Community Service Coordinator to support tamariki and whānau within the Hutt Valley region. This permanent hybrid role is 32 hours per week, involving some rural travel and occasional after-hours work.

You will gather insights, build relationships with partners, and promote services while recruiting and coordinating volunteers to deliver in-home support and group activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in community work or service coordination is preferred.
• Ability to network with diverse communities and stakeholders.
• Comfort engaging with Māori and Pasifika communities and respecting culture.

Responsibilities

• Gather insights about existing services and identify community opportunities.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
• Raise the profile of Whānau Āwhina Plunket at community events.
• Recruit, onboard and communicate with volunteers who run groups and provide in-home support.
