Job summary

GENERAL NEW ZEALAND in Wellington is seeking a Credit Controller to manage a portfolio of credit accounts, review new credit applications and monitor overdue balances, ensuring orders are released in line with policy.

You will communicate with internal teams and customers, coordinate timely collections and help maintain strong cash flow for the business. A proactive and professional approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable or credit control.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions within role scope.
• Confidence using computer systems and MS Office.
• Professional presentation, customer focus and a proactive approach.
• Understanding of legal collection processes (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of credit accounts and investigate new applications.
• Monitor overdue balances and coordinate collections.
• Review credit limits and ensure orders release in line with policy.
• Liaise with Sales, Service, Finance and Administration teams.
• Maintain compliance with WHS policies and procedures.
