Job summary

Russell McVeagh in Auckland is seeking a Credit Controller to join our National Finance team. You will support the accounts receivable process and help maintain up-to-date customer records to support cash flow.

The successful candidate will have at least three years in credit control, strong numeracy, excellent communication, and proficiency in Excel and finance systems. This fast-paced role offers a collaborative environment at a premier firm.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years' experience in a credit control role.
• Experience in a legal, accounting, consulting or other partnership-based professional services firm strongly preferred.
• Confident and professional communication skills (including excellent phone manner).
• Be methodical and organised, with high attention to detail.
• Highly numerate.
• Demonstrated ability to work with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with cash collections and client credit checks.
• Reconciling invoices with payments and identifying discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records and filing within our document management system.
• Assist with sending monthly statements.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes with internal teams and clients.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance AR efficiency.
