Job summary

New Zealand Couriers, Hamilton, is seeking a proactive Credit Controller for a 12-month fixed-term contract to join our regional credit team. You will manage customer accounts and maintain the debtor ledger, ensuring payments align with agreed terms.

Based at our Hamilton branch, you will reconcile accounts, resolve queries, and work closely with branches and internal teams. The role suits detail-focused, proactive communicators with accounts receivable experience and NZ working rights.

Qualifications

• Previous credit control, accounts receivable, finance or similar administration experience
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Confidence communicating with customers about account and payment matters
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritise your workload and work effectively in a busy environment
• A proactive, self-motivated approach and a good sense of humour

The Role

We're looking for a proactive and detail-focused Credit Controller on a 12 month fixed term to join our regional credit team, based at our Hamilton Branch.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you'll play an important role in managing customer accounts and ensuring our debtor ledger is accurate and maintained within agreed payment terms. You'll work closely with customers, branches and internal teams to resolve account queries, reconcile accounts and keep things running smoothly.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing and maintaining customer accounts and the debtor ledger

• Reconciling accounts and investigating discrepancies
