Job summary

South Island - Canterbury Timaru And South Canterbury in Timaru is seeking welders and fabricators for our Timaru workshop with immediate start available. You must work well in a multi-cultural environment and hold a valid resident visa.

We are looking for candidates with minimum 5 years welding experience, steel fabrication experience, ability to read weld symbols and drawings, and familiarity with distortion and heat application.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years welding experience.
• Experience with structural steel.
• Understands weld symbols.
• Can read and interpret drawings.
• Is familiar with distortion and application of heat.
• Experience in Fluxcore welding, holds ticket (advantageous).
• Back-gouging experience.
• Competent with using overhead gantry cranes.
