Job summary

John Jones Steel Ltd in Timaru is expanding its workshop team and is looking for welders and fabricators with immediate start. You must be able to work in a multi-cultural environment and hold a valid resident visa.

To succeed you should have at least five years welding experience, be familiar with structural steel, weld symbols, drawing reading, heat distortion, flux-cored welding (ticket advantageous), back-gouging, and experience operating overhead gantry cranes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years welding experience.
• Experience with structural steel.
• Understands weld symbols.
• Can read and interpret drawings.
• Familiar with distortion and application of heat.
• Experience in Fluxcore welding, holds ticket (advantageous).
• Back-gouging experience.
• Competent with using overhead gantry cranes.

Job description

With some large projects on the go we are looking to add to our workshop team and require welders and fabricators in our Timaru workshop, so this is your chance to get on board.

There is an immediate start available.
