Job summary

NZCL is seeking dedicated Support Workers to assist people in their own homes across the Bay of Plenty. You will be part of a team delivering 24/7 support with potential sleepover payments on certain rosters, including weekend shifts.

The role involves helping with daily living activities, personal care and community engagement to enable independence. We value empathy, respect and cultural awareness as you support individuals from diverse backgrounds.

We are looking for permanent part time Support Workers to help the people we support in their own home. This role include permanent rostered weekend shifts, so weekend availability is essential.

This is a busy and diverse role, supporting people with various aspects of daily life and to do the things they want to do such as going swimming, personal cares, support with meals, household management tasks and teaching life skills. - The list is endless! Support Workers are part of a team who work shifts or specific rosters providing 24/7 support with the potential of additional sleepover payments included in some rosters.

• People who are passionate about helping others, are kind and understanding
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience with disabilities and challenges behaviours.
• Full driver's license is essential.
• Somebody who has the initiative to push people for their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the box. You need to be respectful of others thinking, and their way of living life that may be different to your own.
• Flexibility to work overnight shifts across a roster, including weekends.
