Job summary

Bay Providors invites applications for a full-time Warehouse Staff/Delivery Driver at our Mount Maunganui Warehouse. The role involves heavy lifting, inventory control, and coordinating with ships’ officers to prepare and label ship stores for various shipments.

Candidates should have 6 months to 1 year in a similar role, hold a NZ Class-2 license, and be able to pass a pre-employment drug test. Forklift experience is a bonus; work includes cold-storage areas.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year experience in similar role or industry.
• NZ Class-2 driver's license is required.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Experience with inventory management and stock control.
• Able to work in freezer and chillers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ship stores and label them as per departments of ship.
• Identify ship stores, deck/engine and provisions.
• Communicate with ship's Captain and officers to obtain invoices and permits signed.
• Handle loading/unloading of ship stores; forklift experience is a bonus.
• Work in freezer and chillers to prepare orders.
• Maintain awareness of safety equipment and PPE requirements.
• Manage stock takes, inventory and stock shuffling.

Warehouse Staff/Delivery Driver

Hours of work

Monday - Friday Roster - with Flexibility to Work Weekends.

40 Hours of Work/Week with Competitive salary of NZ$25~$27/Hour on experience & performance.

Key responsibilities are following but not limited to:

• Able to do Heavy Lifting
• Able to pass drug test
• Have Knowledge of Safety Equipment's and Personal Protective Equipment's.
• Able to identify Ship Stores, Deck/Engine and Provisions.
• Preparing Ship stores and labelling them as per Departments of Ship.
• Should be able to identify different cuts of Meat, Vegetables, fruits & international Foods.
• Able to communicate with Ship's Captain, Cook and other officers and get invoices and permits signed.
• Knowledge of Ship Stores Loading/Unloading Operations is bonus.
• Have knowledge of inventory management, stock-take and stock shuffling.
• Need to work in Freezer & Chillers to prepare orders for ships.
• NZ Class-2 driver's license is must or Overseas Equivalent.
• Have knowledge of palletizing and packaging goods.
• Forklift experience will be a bonus but not mandatory
• Knowledge of Ship Equipment's will be a bonus but not mandatory.
• 6 Months to 1 year experience in similar role or industry is must.
